Emirates commissioned a full 3D reconstruction of the A380 interior for MIRA — the airline's immersive virtual training platform, launched in 2023. The photorealistic cabin models are used to train nearly 23,000 cabin crew members in safety and emergency procedures across the airline's widebody fleet.
We built the 3D environments: both decks of the A380, every galley, spa, and lavatory — reconstructed to training-grade fidelity and optimised for real-time VR deployment. Eight weeks from briefing to delivery.

No reference models or drawings were available. The team had just two days of aircraft access in Dubai for photography and measurements — leaving no margin for error.
Strict performance targets for real-time deployment meant every polygon and texture decision had to balance fidelity against framerate. A full double-deck A380 interior, reconstructed to training-grade accuracy.



A dedicated photography team captured detailed reference data on-site in Dubai. Simultaneously, a team of ten artists in London began building assets using educated assumptions — refined once the references arrived.
Every asset balanced visual fidelity against real-time performance requirements — the detail crew members rely on in training, delivered within the constraints of stereoscopic 360° deployment.
The MIRA platform has since expanded beyond the A380 to include Boeing 777 and Airbus A350 interiors, with training modules for door operations, fire-fighting, and emergency procedures. Emirates plans to scale the platform to support 30,000 crew members by 2030. Selected programme coverage:
